Hello! If there’s one thing I’ve learnt in life, it’s to never write in the 3rd person, otherwise you seem like a fool.
I guess, as this is an academic blog, I’d best start with my background in Psychology.

I  first became interested in Psychology at Secondary school, when someone visited to explain more interesting ways to revise. He told us about mind mapping in particular, and asked us to attempt it. After, he told us all about the different hemispheres of the brain and how they’re different. I was fascinated by this, and hence decided to take the subject at College.
I went to one of the best colleges in the country, King Edward VI College in Stourbridge. I found that people tended to either love Psychology or hate it. Those who couldn’t put in the time to remember names and studies complained about the subject, without really appreciating what they were doing. I loved it, and came out with an A at AS level, and a B at A2 level (2 marks off an A – d’oh!).
I decided I wanted to go into a professional field in Psychology after my first year at college, and I’m currently realising that by studying towards a BSc Psychology degree at Staffordshire University.
I think that Psychology is an endless subject, with so many real life applications it can’t be ignored. It’s becoming more popular every year, with thousands of students studying it across the UK. Research has helped us to understand so many things about not just ourselves, but society and our interactions with others. Whether you choose to study it or not, it’s a brilliant topic which is fascinating. I hope by reading this blog you agree!

So a little bit more about me.
I was born in Hertfordshire, on the 10th July 1991. At the age of 5, my Dad got a promotion which required us to move to the West Midlands. For the past 13 years, I’ve lived at the same address. Last year I moved out of home to University managed accommodation. For the 2nd year, I’ve moved into a rented student house with 3 of the most wonderful people I’ve met!
I’m a very keen writer; I have two blogs and am currently writing my own book. I’m planning on setting up a website soon where people can access all my writing. If you’d like more information, my contact details are below.
I’m also a massive fan of art, in particular tattoo art. I also love animation, and plan to learn more about the software and maybe begin making my own sometime. When I’m not writing or drawing, I’m usually out and about with friends enjoying life as it comes! I must admit I’m a fan of “getting a bit merry” on nights out, and usually pay for it the following mornings. You only live once right?

I hope you enjoy my blog, and if you have any feedback, improvements or just want to chat, please get in contact – visit the contact page for details.
